Queen of the Wing

Over the weekend we entered the 9th annual King Of The Wing contest. Held on Magens Bay Beach- where restaurants and other companies come together and cook wings for the island!

The public comes to the beach- tastes the wings, drinks and has a great time! I know you’re probably thinking, what is a Bakery doing cooking wings? Chicken might not be our everyday, but that doesn’t mean we can’t give it that sweet Suga Mama touch. Let me tell you we did not disappoint.

Our booth was decked out in all things pink and even got to feature some of our new party shop products (party hats hint hint)! We gave out tons of fun Suga Mama swag and of course- wings!

We entered two flavors, Rosè Jalapeño (it happened to be National rosè Day) + Red Velvet. The rosè jalapeño was brined in Cavicchioli sparking rosè and tossed in homemade rosè jalapeño jam (which we will sell in the new shop) and garnished with our custom sprinkle medley by Sweetapolita (another shop product)!

The Red Velvet Wing has made a KOW appearance in the past so people were excited about this one again. This Wing was finished in a salted caramel cream cheese frosting, sprinkled with salt and luster dust to add a little sparkle.

The sweet wings were a hit and we ended up with a trophy!! Placing 3rd in the restaurant division! We were all so happy to place and thrilled so many islanders got to see what we’re all about!

Thank you, everyone, who came out to try!
